GOGO Music creates its own definition of club music - a timeless and uncompromising style, which encompasses harmony, soul and groove. It is therefore no surprise that the global house-scene has come to recognise the label as a sure source of quality house music. Having now released a dozen singles, the German label is ready to present its philosophy of music with this CD compilation.
Ralf GUM is the founder and the driving force behind GOGO Music. DJ-ing since 1990 he now enjoys a high DJ profile and is also recognised as one of Germany’s finest house producers. His music is distinctive and creates a vibe that makes the listener lose himselves in the deep world of house music. But the distinctive vibe isn’t the only reason for Ralf’s success - his passion and love for all things soulful shines through in all he does and helps create a simply irresistible groove.
The CD reflects GOGO’s declared mission - to be a platform to creative and innovative club music - in a convincing way. Whether the artist is well known or whether they are up and coming makes no difference, the declared intention is to release simply best music. The philosophy is obviously working as over the last few years, GOGO & Ralf GUM related releases have been well received by a global audience. The philosophy according to GOGO Music this mix cd covers all that GOGO is about with some quality deep bubbling house to some lively upbeat and very chunky grooves laced with Latino charm and Afristic delight. A great mix, some stand out tracks Deep Bros feat Dawn Tallman, King Club, Dj MRF & D’Layna, RAW ARTISTIC SOUL and of course Roberto De Carlo. The best mix CD I have heard this year definitely. Expect top things from this label in 05. Love it.

Ralf GUM’s German based label displays all the qualities good music should possess in abundance. Emotive melodies, energising rhythms, good songs and the combination of old and new influences which are all here to represent the GOGO sound. Drawing from the labels back catalogue and including the latest single, "Soulful Things" there’s something deeply rewarding about Ralf GUM’s smooth mixing style and life-affirming choice of music which the label specialises in. Then again maybe its just something to do with the time of year and all this summer inspired music, though more probably its simply tracks like "Angel" and Wendy Lewis’s tastefully uplifting vocals that do the trick so well.

Ralf GUM, er manden bag det lille uafhængige tyske house label GoGo Music. I løbet af selskabets kun 4 år, er det blevet til et hav af 12' udgivelser. Nu er det så blevet tid til deres første album og man har valgt at debutere med en compilation - for at vise omverden hvad man har, at byde på.
Albummet "GO!" er compileret og mixet af Ralf Gum selv, og tracklisten indeholder udelukkende numre fra GoGo Music's foreløbige katalog. Profilen for GoGo Music's er opløftende undergrunds soulful-house, som særligt kendes fra diverse legendariske US-house producer.
På trods af GoGo Music's korte levetid, har selskabet formået, at gøre sig vældig bemærket på charts verden over. På det seneste med navne som; Raw Artistic Soul, Matteo Ionescu, Deep Bros og Roberto De Carlos, alle navne som du også finder på denne herlige compilation.
Hvad du blandt andet finder på den snedige compilation, er således nogle vidunderlige soul-house perler som fx; Raw Artistic Soul's "Mawella", Deep Bros' "Go Down", Seek's "Everafter", Ralf Gum & Inaya Day's What I Like" og nyeste 12' udspil Roberto de Carlose' "Soulful Things".
I sandhed en delikat omgang groovy soul-house, som man ikke kan være foruden - med mindre man har alle singlerne.

Op deze verzamelaar van het GOGO label, selecteerde en mixte labeleigenaar Ralf Gum een aantal sterke tracks aan elkaar, afkomstig van het eigen label. Het materiaal is afkomstig uit de periode 2002-2004 en boeit van de eerste tot de laatste seconde. Het materiaal bestaat voornamelijk uit soulful (deep) house met veel vocale inbreng en hier en daar een vleugje latin. Het is warme, zoetsappige dansmuziek die je direct zal boeien. Heerlijke muziek voor op een intieme dansvloer en thuis op de bank. De compilatie bevat veel bijdragen van Raw Artistic Soul en Ralf Gum zelf, maar zij zijn zeker niet de enige namen die in de roos schieten. Kijk op www.gogo-music.net voor meer informatie! Wenn Ralf GUM, Resident des berühmten Airport/Studio Clubs in Würzburg und Headhoncho des famosen GOGO Music Labels, etwas in die Hand nimmt, kann dabei nur Gutes herauskommen. Wer die Entwicklung seines Labels GOGO Music mitverfolgt hat, weiß was Musicafficionados und bekennende Trainspotter hier erwartet: House-Music vom Feinsten in Form eines mehr als gelungenen Showcases durch ein buntes „Best Of“ an GOGO Music Veröffentlichungen. Insofern kann man diese Compilation quasi blind empfehlen. Deepe Sounds, Afrorhythms, Vokalisten wie Concha Buika oder Inaya Day treffen auf Newcomer wie z.B. Roberto De Carlo. Ganz groß und etwas für real House-Lovers!

Dreizehn Stücke skizzieren das GOGO Music Universum: Deep House, Afro- & Latin-Styles, Broken Beats. Als Anhänger outen sich unter anderem Rainer Trüby oder Ian Pooley. Zur Familie der GOGO-Künstler gehören u.a. Projekte und Acts wie RAW ARTISTIC SOUL, Seek, Rookie, King Club, DJ MFR, Roberto De Carlo, Deep Bros, Matteo Ionescu und natürlich Ralf selbst, der seine DJ-Mix Qualitäten bei der aus einem Guß gehaltenen Scheibe unter Beweis stellt. Leicht und trotzdem mit dem richtigen Bums pushend, kommt der Sound beim Hörer an und reißt ihn in seinen Bann.

Eine Platte mit so einem geilen Namen kann ja nicht scheiße sein. Die elf feinen Housetracks, von Ralf GUM ausgesucht und gemixt, sind bestens geeignet, sich daheim für den Samstagabend in Münchens besten Clubs einzustimmen. Allerdings besteht die gro0e Gefahr, dass so mancher bei den coolen Songs lieber gleich zu Hause weiter feiert.
