RAW ARTISTIC SOUL is the brainchild of German Producer/Remixer/Live Artist, Phil Kullmann, who has culled together a 14 strong international collective of singers and quality musicians from all different cultures, sharing a combined focus of producing impeccable music inspired from around the world. GOGO Music celebrate their 10th release with "RAW ARTISTIC SOUL’s - The One Cultural Groove EP I". Phil Kullmann is a versatile producer, remixer and live artist. Having travelled extensively and influenced by so many various music styles of the world, he developed an inventive production style and tasteful feel for many varied musical forms, from Latin, House, Disco, Afro Beat, Funk, Dub, Reggae and Jazz all of which are prominent in his ‘One Cultural Groove’ project. RELEASE DETAILS This earthy EP arrives with a beautiful tapestry of worldy sounds that is Nawella, a traditional African spiritual chant sang in the mother language of Bemba, meaning he’s back. As its light afrocentric rhythms and delicate guitar echoes complement the harmonious voices, this track will instantly bring sunshine into your life! Turning up the heat is Pa El Bembé featuring the outstanding Cuban voice of Edisney Portales Vega whose distinctive tones are complemented by uplifting choral harmonies, the mesmerising improvisation of latin flautist, Domingo Patricio, to the beat of raw energetic drums. What we have here is the very first installment of a series of pieces of music to be included on an album awaited sometime next year (can't already wait for that). Producer/remixer and live artist Phil Kullmann is the man sitting at the command of R.A.S., obviously into Afro-Cuban flavours. Track one - "Nawella" - is a rendition of a traditional South African spiritual chant. Meanwhile "Pa El Bembé" receives the outstanding feature of Cuban singer Edisney Portales Vega. Both of them brilliantly displaying lush melodies over a drop of jazz influences some phat basslines and raw drums with a more energetic feel on the latest with the addiction of tribal percussions (on the Main Mix) by label honcho Ralf GUM & CrisP.
